It has been a year filled with challenges – operating during a global pandemic was no easy feat – but we have also achieved our fair share of triumphs. The success of this year, for the large part, was due to our loyal collectors who so willingly adapted to and embraced a new auction model.
We have managed to continue our efforts to transform the online auction experience through a more seamless digital viewing and bidding process, widening buying pools and taking South African fine art and design across international borders.
Achievements
Among our achievements in 2020; we held six premium auctions, set a new national record for David Hockney’s Paper Pools, handled pieces by internationally renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Edvard Munch and A.R. Penck and offered items of the highest quality across our various categories.

Perhaps our most notable achievements of the year included hosting various charitable auctions, which allowed us to give back and raise money for a good cause. The support of our generous buyers made this worthy venture possible, raising over half a million rand during the course of the year.
We are looking forward to 2021 with anticipation and enthusiasm and we are excited for the opportunities the new year will bring. As the countdown to the end of the year begins, please note that we will be closing our offices from the 18th December 2020 and will be actively consigning for our 2021 sales, come January.
