The Sumatran Rhino, The Javan Rhino, Indian Rhino, Black Rhino, and White Rhino. Each chapter has a coloured plate depicting the specific rhino breed. 15 tipped in plates of Mathew Hillard's works. Numerous monochromatic illustrations throughout. Bound by Romilly Saumarez-Smith and Pella Erskine-Tulloch, London. Maps drawn by John Woodcock. The plates use a new waterless printing technique developed in Japan by Toray. This is the first major scientific book in the UK to use this method.
