the 27cm silvered dial with roman numerals, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, signed in a cartouche Nathan Seddon, St James, ring-turned winding holes, with three further dials in the arch for days of the week, annual calendar dial engraved with signs of the zodiac, months and the number of days in the month, and strike/silent dial, brass spandrels with putti supporting a crown, the movement with four pillars, chiming the quarters on two bells, the associated arched hood carved with fretwork, stepped and domed caddy cresting, three ball finials, turned pilasters, wood side-frets, the moulded trunk door with feather- and cross-banding, on a cross-banded plinth with shaped apron and bracket feet, 265cm high
