Press Release

Antique silver from Ireland is coming into its own with many collectors from South Africa and abroad. Historically the wealth of Ireland was far inferior to that of Britain resulting in fewer pieces of Irish silver being made, in comparison to English silver, thereby making Irish silver even more highly sought-after.
The tea set consists of a coffee pot a milk jug and a sugar basin. Each piece has a fluted baluster shaped body and is decorated with majestic C-scrolls, leaves and diapers with flowing leaf-capped scroll handles. The coffee pot is adorned with a beautiful bud finial.
The auction estimate for extraordinary lot 911 is R15 000 – 20 000
Join us on 8th of August 2012 at 10:30 am to partake in the auctioning of our fine silverware.
